Colruytgroup (UX/UI Designer)
As a UX/UI designer I help users achieve their goals in the digitized world, whilst building an emotional connection with their environment
The digitization of our world has been raging for quite some time now. Its impact on our lives will continue to grow for the next couple of years. Consequently, focus is shifting towards how users are experiencing this new digital environment
The aim was to position Collect & Go as the grocery service of the Colruyt Group through a responsive website in harmony with the accompanying app taking into account a number of limitations imposed by the partners.

We needed to focus on making the website more user friendly, both functionally and visually, taking into account a number of functional boundaries.

(publishing pending)
The site needed a functional and visual user-friendliness refresh allowing users to find their way to the right job smoothly. We had to solve a few functional limitations in the back-end.

The challenge here was to translate Colruyt’s new corporate identity into the visual design, restructuring the content in doing so.

After my studies, in 1998, I joined Colruytgroup as a graphical designer. I was one of the first to build websites. I was hooked rather quickly after these first steps in the digital world and decided to specialize in the field.
I live in Huizingen with my wife Sofie and our two sons, Daan and Sam. Together we enjoy photography, football and stained glass. In my spare time I read up on the digitization of our economy and its impact on our lives.
After a 7-year stained glass master class in the Anderlecht Academy I started restoring and creating stained glass as a secondary occupation. The windows are my bridge between the tangible and the abstract. My studio is where I find rest. I can clear my head and recharge my batteries.
Recently I stared teaching at the Academy.
